Job Description: What You'll Do

You will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and execution of all international cargo:

• Shipment Management: Coordinate and execute end-to-end international shipments (import/export) via ocean, air, and ground.
• Colombian Documentation & Compliance: Prepare, review, and manage all transport documents (BLs, AWBs, invoices, etc.), ensuring strict compliance with Colombian Customs (DIAN) and other local regulations. Management of TMS Muisca.
• Multimodal Coordination: Manage international freight and coordinate National Ground Transportation within Colombia (from ports like Cartagena/Buenaventura to inland destinations).
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the liaison between clients, international carriers, freight forwarders, and local Colombian transport/customs agents.
• Tracking & Updates: Track shipments in real-time and provide proactive status updates to clients and internal teams.

Job Description: Join our forward-thinking and supportive team as an Ocean Export & Air Freight Operations Coordinator! You will play a crucial role in coordinating our air and ocean shipments, with a strong emphasis on managing ocean export logistics, ensuring exceptional service for our clients and partners.

What You'll Do
As a key member of the Operations team, your responsibilities will focus on the execution and coordination of all shipment processes:

• Coordinate Ocean & Air Operations: Manage and coordinate the workflow for both ocean and air modes of transport, with a primary focus on ocean export documentation and movement.
• Process Management: Execute daily operations by following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Internal Operating Procedures (IOPs) for new and existing clients.
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for external partners (agents, carriers, service providers) and clients to ensure timely communication and coordination of shipments.
• Rate Liaison: Work with the Pricing/Business Development team during the initial phase of a secured client to ensure a smooth transition and operational handover.
• Shipment Financials: Monitor and assist in the closing of jobs, ensuring job profit/loss margins are tracked and accurate.
• Negotiation Support: Assist in the negotiation of spot rates and aid in expanding relationships with agents, carriers, and service providers.
• Workflow Coordination: Create and distribute daily/weekly work plans among the team to effectively monitor and coordinate operational tasks.
• Claims Processing: Process and monitor insurance claims related to shipments.

• Experience: Proven experience (e.g., 2-3+ years) in freight forwarding operations, with a heavy emphasis on Ocean Export. Experience with air freight is also required.

• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with creating and following SOPs/IOPs and workflow processes.
• System Proficiency: (Add relevant industry software like CargoWise, EDI platforms, etc.)
