You will play a crucial role in coordinating our air and ocean shipments, with a strong emphasis on managing ocean export logistics, ensuring exceptional service for our clients and partners.

What You'll Do
As a key member of the Operations team, your responsibilities will focus on the execution and coordination of all shipment processes:

• Coordinate Ocean & Air Operations: Manage and coordinate the workflow for both ocean and air modes of transport, with a primary focus on ocean export documentation and movement.
• Process Management: Execute daily operations by following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Internal Operating Procedures (IOPs) for new and existing clients.
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for external partners (agents, carriers, service providers) and clients to ensure timely communication and coordination of shipments.
• Rate Liaison: Work with the Pricing/Business Development team during the initial phase of a secured client to ensure a smooth transition and operational handover.
• Shipment Financials: Monitor and assist in the closing of jobs, ensuring job profit/loss margins are tracked and accurate.
• Negotiation Support: Assist in the negotiation of spot rates and aid in expanding relationships with agents, carriers, and service providers.
• Workflow Coordination: Create and distribute daily/weekly work plans among the team to effectively monitor and coordinate operational tasks.
• Claims Processing: Process and monitor insurance claims related to shipments.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Administration, or related fields.
• Experience:
• At least 5 years of proven experience in international logistics (import/export with the U.S.).
• Previous experience leading teams and managing talent (recruitment, feedback, and performance management).
• Strong background working with international vendors, customs brokers, and transport providers.

Knowledge:

• U.S. customs regulations and international trade compliance.
• Proficiency in international documentation (B/L, AWB, commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin).
• Logistics KPIs, cost control, and supply chain optimization.
• Advanced English (spoken and written).
• Familiarity with logistics management software (ERP, WMS, TMS, SAP, or similar).
• CargoWise experience is considered a strong plus.
